WELCOME
TO THE RIVER VALLEY SCHOOL DISTRICT
On behalf of the River Valley
Board of Education, I would like to welcome you to the River Valley
School District which is located in Berrien County in the Southwest
corner of Michigan. The district
encompasses approximately 90 square miles, extending from the Indiana
state line on the south to the shore of Lake Michigan on the west. Included within its boundaries are
the towns and villages of Three Oaks, Sawyer, Harbert, New Troy and
Lakeside. I-94 and the Red Arrow
Highway traverse the district which includes the Warren Dunes State
Park. We are just a short drive
from South Bend, Indiana, and St. Joseph, Michigan, and Three Oaks is
just 100 minutes from Chicago.
If you are seeking a small
district where your child/children can thrive in all areas of development,
then River Valley merits your close examination. In our district, children are not
just numbers. Children receive
individual attention with their learning, they feel like they belong to
a school community, they are met by a caring, well qualified staff,
they excel academically, and have many extracurricular activities in
which to participate. We welcome
you and your child/children to join us for an exciting, rewarding
educational adventure from preschool through high school.
We, members of the River
Valley educational community, are dedicated to presenting a positive
learning environment in which all students have the opportunity to
achieve academic success and develop communication skills, thereby
becoming critical thinkers, lifelong learners, and responsible
citizens.
We thank our communities
of patrons and parents for their involvement and contributions to the
River Valley School District, truly a district of pride and progress.
Sincerely,
Robert Schroeder
